Around the world (almost) and back. Oh, and boats.

I went to China! Shanghai, specifically. It was beautiful and cool and strange and frustrating. Sadly I didn't get to do any exploring as it was a work trip afterall. But happily I did manage to have REALLY good dumplings. And meat.  Plus my hotel room had a pretty great view. Here now, a few pics.
That's the famous Pearl Tower and it was right outside my hotel! That's from the hotel bar (where else). This was apparently a good day, smog-wise.

A 10-story mall! With REALLY good restaurants secretly stashed away on the 10th floor.

Ain't no party like an HP party...well you get the idea. HP Party at the Shanghai Museum of Glass. Complete with stilt-walkers and drum dudes.

Upon my return Jay, Leo and I were treated to an impromptu boat trip out on Lake Union thanks to the bro and sis-in-law. What else does one do the day after a 13 hour flight? Chillax on a boat! I'm on a boat!
Yay cousins! Leo's pretty much in awe of them.

I'm on a boat!Again, why we live here.

Thanks Aunt Stacey and Uncle Mark!
